Current Research

My general area of research interest is in social motivation or how we judge and evaluate others and then interact with others based on those judgements and evaluations. My program of research has primarily focused on answering three questions. What intrapersonal psychological factors associated with victims of transgressions might influence their decisions to seek revenge, harbor a grudge, or figvie? What interpersonal factors associated with transgressors might influence victims' post-transgression responses? What psychological mechanisms can explain why the intrapersonal and interpersonal factors influence victims' post-transgression responses? Most of my reserach is conducted within the contexts of social and organizational psychology and is guided by theoretical frameworks from social cognition and evolutionary psychology.
